JVPD 9 is a 5,000 sq. ft. residence in Juhu, Mumbai, shaped by an act of reinterpretation. A European design language, defined by sculpted forms and measured proportions, is translated within the context of a contemporary Indian home, responding to both lifestyle and climate. The home includes six bedrooms, a home theatre, formal living and dining areas, along with a kitchen, pantry, vestibule, and staff quarters. Within this framework, the design moves between moments of clarity and subtlety. This layered approach informs the experience of the home, where spatial generosity is balanced with intimacy, and detailing is anchored in use rather than display.
